Graphic design for an initiative celebrating the opening of the Valentim de Barros Studio Room.
Logo Design, Poster Design
It's worth remembering who Valentim was: the first Portuguese ballet dancer to gain international recognition, a brilliant talent, silenced. He spent nearly four decades in the Miguel Bombarda Psychiatric Hospital. They said he was insane. His “madness” was loving men like himself.
For the logo, the idea was simple: Valentim signs his own tribute. His handwriting and signature become the identity of this homage.
The poster was illustrated by Nicole Tsangaris. The colour palette, marked by intense energy, was chosen to express a sense of celebration and transformation.
